About us
Cavaliers in Need are a growing rescue group of volunteers and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel lovers who came together in 2013. Since then Cavaliers in Need has rescued over 2500 dogs. Our work involves rescuing dogs from puppy farms, neglect and when family circumstances change. We don't have a shelter as cavaliers and other small dogs don't fare well in that environment. All our dogs are fostered by volunteer foster families who, with our support, rehabilitate them and rehome them.
As well as our work in Northern Ireland and Ireland Cavaliers in Need also supports some dogs in the wider UK and in Turkey and China where the need is great.
We will never turn away a dog in need. Just now the need is great and we have over 100 dogs in foster care. Twenty of these dogs are long-term foster babes who are not adoptable who remain in our care for life
We fundraise in the Community to support this work with petting days, street collections and events.
We are all volunteers all money donated goes to support the dogs in our care.
